It was a frustration for me too when my VANOS is misaligned and they keep giving me promises that my car was ready by XXXX date that was always delayed. I had to take leave from my work due to these circumstances and I was very unhappy about it. Stupid reasons such as the car has to be warm in order for proper operation of the VANOS was given to me when the car was jerking like crazy at idle was simply unprofessional.
