Advise needed on the rear view mirror. It seems that that liquid in it has dried up and view is not clear. What should I do?It cost a lot to replace....Appreciate the feedback if any of you has faced the same problem.Cheers

That happens, i changed mine and have a spare unit from m3. Oval shape with red clown nose with autodimming glass.

does it fit the Z4?Cos the last I checked, it differs for different models.

Just found out it will fit but if you to be sure, wait for your pics and to compare mine just to make sure.

Bro..how much izit..mine also rosak..........price pls..??

Hello Jeff, are you sure you have to change it? I read from some forum (can't remember which) that there is a battery powering these mirrors and if exhausted can render the auto-dim function useless.

You may want to google this up before parting with your money!

Hi,

Any updates on this? I realised the problem is a different one. I'm facing the problem Jeff is facing too. The liquid inside the mirror is 'drying up'. It is different from a non-active auto-dim mirror where the power supply was the problem.

How much did you pay for a new mirror, 14m3? Part number? Any suggestion here is most appreciated, thank you.

I have a spare unit for my m3, its in oval shape with a red clown nose for S$600. Let me know if you are inteested.

Hi 14m3,

Thanks for your prompt reply. SG$600.00 is a bit steep but I know that's not your fault, Z4 parts are expensive.

Please let me see if I have other options before reverting.

Many thanks again.

i just got my z4 and seems that the rear mirror also have this problem.
may i know how to check whether is the battery problem or the liquid dried up ?
how much does it cost to fix this in msia ?

thanks.

I have a spare piece from my m3 with autodimming for sale if anyone is interested.
