I have joined convoys and drives with few car clubs and ours still has a long way to go.. 1) Waja Perfomance Club - very orderly, no overtaking, everyone has a walkie. 2) Club Audi M'sia (VAG) - no rules apply, follow own pace, good marshalling team, everyone has a walkie. 3) Auto Italia - balls out driving, no marshalls, no walkies, but stops for regroup... Mainly day drives (ulu yam, kuala klawang)... Actually, we don't have a team of dedicated marshall cars. And marshall cars don't have to be the committee members, they can be any official members who have the capability to marshall and think on its feet.. I bet you've seen cars from other car clubs labeled as Marshall cars on the road ie Caldinas, Wajas, Satria GTi.... The Waja Performance Club in its heydays have its team of marshalls and the marshalls actually go on drives to practise marshalling... And it helps that most of the member cars have a Motorola Talkabout during the drive... And when they are on trunk roads, it made overtaking easy as they would be calling out "Clear clear clear" to overtake or "Traffic coming, clear after slow ass black BMW" :p Their convoy is very orderly and they will call out very clear road instructions when it comes to junctions, bla bla bla.. If the WPC can get its members to get the Moto Talkabouts, we should be about to do the same... the Moto talkabouts are
