[QUOTE="zib, post: 702599, member: 23925"] Higher roadtax for big cc is to counter the subsidy given to petrol. But since petrol (RON95) is now RM2.10 per liter I think it is high time the govt revise the roadtax for cars above 2.5l and 3 liters. Current rate is up to 1000cc is RM20 1001cc to 1200cc is RM55 1201cc-1400cc is RM70 1401cc-1600 is RM90 1601cc is RM200+RM0.40per cc so ..1601cc is RM200.40 and 1700cc is RM240 until 2000cc is RM380 2001 is RM380 + RM1 per cc until 2500cc=RM880 Above 2501cc the rate is RM880 + RM2.50 per cc meaning a 2600cc is RM1130, 2800cc is RM1630 until 3000cc=RM2130 Above 3001c the rate is RM2130+ RM4.50 per cc. This is the maximum rate per cc.This means a 3200cc is paying RM3030 and 5000cc is paying RM11,130. These are for petrol motorcars only. Diesel and SUV/MPV/4WD used different calculations.
