Dear members, i am scouting through the internet and looking for a suitable body kit of my liking. I come across of some PP material and also Original stuff ( way more expensive ) . May i know original manufacturer material are which type ?
and if is different , is PP better than original ? That's what i been hearing . I used the search function and no topic has discussed this before. Hope someone can show me the way :)

I believe the OEM bumper is made of polypropylene. I would go for polypropylene or polyurethane, as both are flexible materials. I would stay away from fiberglass if possible.

For bodykites you want something pretty flexible. My first choice would be PP, followed closely with Polyurethane. That is basically how much flex the bumper allows before it cracks, and how much strength it has to resist that flexing.

Imagine scraping your bodykit at basements or huge bumps. The material chosen must be able to flex/withstand the force and not so costly for repairs if there's a big dent.

PP - is usually the prefered by bodyshops. it is an OEM material that is easy to work with and on the prep work.
PU - is quite flexible, almost rubbery and is a little more work to finish properly.

Thanks for the great info sb ! this will ease up my worries to do modding.

I own a few vehicles beforehand , but this will be the first time I am doing mods :) getting body kits and performance etc
