The dude gave me a joy ride and I have to say I actually fell in love with the torque and power of the car. But after reading what had happened to iceman and another bimmerclub forum, of course predictably, i backed off.So now I'm back to square one. I've been reading around the forum and got me thinking since the car on its own is possible to get to as low as RM20k+, will it be a good idea for me to actually try my luck and do a conversion to manual? How astronomical will the cost be to get back the car in shape etc (provided I actually bought one of those low Rm20k cars)? And from what I found out as well it is not easy to locate a 328 manual gearbox (mind you I have a pretty heavy right foot) and most of the ones i found is 325s and 318s. Can those gearboxes take the abuse of those 280nm of torques?Too bad If i had the cash I would've grab ssman's m3 in heartbeat. Would appreciate your suggestions and feedbacks.
