Ladies n gentlemen, since the recent hike up of ron97, its like a slow killer, just had the thought of switching to or probably try on the new 95extra, with so called F1 technology, we'll see how :pBesides, it will be very much delightful and a very good piece of information, if any current users of 95extra willing to share their experience which is very much reliable, realistic and real time, rather than we hearing the eye catching marketing words :pPerformance:Efficiency:Others:Thank you so much for the info sharing :top:

Been using 95xtra on my car for the past two fill-ups.

Feels quite good. No sluggish performance compared to Shell which I had used almost exclusively just for the sake of convenience.

Might be a Petronas convert for good judging from the way my car has responded to 95 Xtra. :)

Thought a bit of fuel economy improved. BIG WORD: THOUGHT

I might just be having a placebo effect :p

Filled up my third tank last evening. Have to say this is the best RoN95 fuel. Could feel the difference, engine note is beefier and the butt says car is moving faster.

I'm on my 4th tanks now with the new Petronas RON 95 Xtra and very pleased with it.
Performance: Marginally better acceleration and engine runs much smoother
Efficiency: Slight improvement on fuel consumption
Others: Encourage motorist to try at least 2 full tanks to experience the difference

3rd tank. about the same driving condition. about 10% improvement on FC and more oomph but not sure by how much

I was invited to test the petrol about 2 weeks before the launch and I must say I was thoroughly impressed with the performance of the fuel and it's additive.

The full tank that was given free kept me going for around 330miles (sorry my meter is in miles). This was done with a mixture of around 40% town driving and 60% highway driving. I refilled when there was approximately 6.4litres of fuel left in my tank. In comparison, a full tank of RON95 from Caltex takes me to around 270m-280 miles and this is usually achieved only with a majority of highway driving. Even my gf's is reporting a big improvement in her fuel consumption on her first tank of Petronas Xtra.

Power wise, it's not RON97 or VPower, but it does feel a little bit better compared to other RON95 available out there.

All in all I would it's a great new product from Petronas. Looks like I'll be staying with Petronas for a while now.

Hmmm...

Looks like the users' experience have been positive thus far.

The effects were almost instant. A friend of mine who had never had below 9.5l/100 while cruising on the highway had his OBC show 8.8l/100 the day we left from the Petronas research center. Similarly my OBC was showing 7.2l/100 while cruising at 80km/h as well.

It sounds encouraged to try out. btw, you guys tested this petrol in which model? E60, E39 or E90? Is it advisible for E60 to pump RON 95?

Shouldn't be a problem for most BMW models to use RON95. I drive E36 328.

Third fill up this morning. Approximately 72L of fuel went in. :p

It's refreshing that many have shared their positive experiences with the fuel.

I think I'm gonna pester my dad to try it out. Who knows, he might be a convert too? :)

Low fuel warning lit up and shell BU has problem accepting credit cards on pumps, I'll try this fuel tomorrow morning. But after switching can no longer collect Bonuslink points lah :bawling:

I thought my fuel meter was busted but this new fuel really improves ur fuel consumption.

lol bro, go apply for kad mesra la... it's free! as for ur bonuslink, you can always go to parkson.

And the most significant effect from the fuel, and I kid you not, car feels smother when accelerating from stand still. When I say accelerating, i didnt mean pedal to the metal... but the normal jump start you do when u want to get your car moving.

people should not be too obsess with RON myth.... they should be obsessed in believing to what the car manual says.

My 39 gets better mileage due to switching to 95xtra..pick-up wise is slightly improved as well.. i've been using 95' all the while n this is the best without robeking my wallet on 97..as for the RON issues, refer to the petrol swing cap to determine the RON our car needs..IMHO our bimmer engines suit 95 petrol..:65:

Just use one tankful of Petronas 95 xtra ... Much better than previous Petronas offering. I need to fill couple more full tank of Petronas 95xtra to be really sure whether it's better than esso95 in terms of power and smoothness based on my butt dyno lol ...
