In my own opinion, most fuels are more or less the same in terms of fuel efficiency and drivability. Anyone wants to take a blind test? Take 3 similar cars, fill it up with petrol brand A,B,C or A,A,A, B,B,B or C,C,C. I bet in scenario 4 (C,C,C) will be some that claim petrol brand C in Car 1 is better than Petrol brand C in Car 2!:top: Every major brand has been touting its friction modifier (under various names) and cleaning agents. Just an example, the latest fuel safe formula for Shell supposedly gives 50% improvement then the previous formula. How much savings? 1 liter for every 50 liters used, which happens to be about 2% savings. The driving style of the car owner itself plus the varying road conditions and weather, will more or less negate this 2% difference. Bottom line to get better fuel mileage, change ur driving style. Some notable tips which I personally have found very useful....accelerate when going on a downhill stretch and ease off when going up, anticipate the traffic ahead and try to drive smooth with minimal braking and acceleration and upshift whenever possible (I keep it around 2.5 to 3k rpm) - lower RPM means better consumption.
