Calvin,

Some insurance companies may use the mods (eventhough didnt touch the engine bay) as a reason to void your policy. Which is why putting in a Ram Charger (for example) etc is likely to void the policy if you do not inform them....

The common perception is that as longas you do not touch the engine then there's no need to inform your insurance company. That isnt entire accurate as there are instances where even changing to Eibachs can void your insurance policy. This means that, just to be safe, anything that has been removed, replaced, added to your car AFTER your insurance policy was taken has to be made known to your insurer. That way if you have to make a claim, they cant say that its an "illegal" modification. When i say "illegal" i mean that they weren't informed of it.

As for TT, please check your PM. TQ!

Do all the hardwares and bits can be used back with the OEM CSL trunk for conversion? I undestand that you need the trunk gasket. Any other things besides this?

it won't void the insurance. it's not like warranty. it's only for e.g. you changed your wheels to 19" ACS wheels, but the original using 16" BMW wheels. if you make claim, they will not pay for new 19" ACS wheels, but just for the 16". simply because u insure only the 16" not the 19"

but if you tell them, you have to detail out the changed parts so they can increase the premium accordingly and u can claim for that item later if required.

helloo have u all registered for AD...its just 2 weeks away
