Engine oil, oil filter n fuel filter, just the basic.Ask the mech to get me Castrol 2 days b4 i drop by n of cos he says "OKAY" n come up with this brand. Not sure of the quality but proceed with it since he says its good. Vaico 5W-40. The brand for the oil filter is Mann Filter (Filterwerk Mann + Hummel) HU 925/4X Made in Czech Republic. http://www.germanfilters.com/mann-9254-oil-filter-p-54456.htmlChange from Ori BMW fuel filter to a Hengst filter H151WKhttp://www.hengst.de/conpresso/_rubric/index.php?rubric=Home_ENVaico engine oil 7 litres = RM 253.00Mann oil filter = RM 24.00Hengst fuel filter = RM 241.00Labour = RM 50.00Total Damage = RM 568.00Im not really into cars or parts wat so ever but just wondering if there r okay for BMW.Cheers

For engine oil as long as it's fully synthetic and change at an interval of 7-8k kilometers then it's all good tho it's better if you put a BMW approved oil (BMW standards are LL-01, LL-04). As for Mann and Hengst they do make OEM bmw parts.

Thanks, but where to look for these LL-01, LL-04? i believe i will just simply use Castrol fully synthetic to save trouble. Then how bout the Gear Oil or the rear axle? Do i have to change too?

Do i need to flush the radiator coolant entirely? Wats the ratio? how many part H2O how many part coolant?

Thanks again...

For rear axle you can use Redline 75W-90 gear oil while for your auto transmission you need to use BMW atf ONLY but here's the tricky part ... BMW have several gearbox made for them by a few company (GM, ZF and etc) so you need to find out which g/box you have on your car. The simplest solution is for you to give your VIN number to a BMW service centre and ask for a quotation for a transmission oil change, in the quotation it will list out everything for you :D

Ideally it's better if you flush and change your radiator coolant every two years. The ratio is 50/50.

P/s: On every engine oil bottle it will list out the standards in which the oils conform too (e.g. LL01, MB236.14, SM rating and etc) and yes you're right do use Castrol whenever possible :top:
