Oil change for every 5000km

I am planning to have a oil change in every 5000km, is there any work shop instead of Bmw service shop that can recommended in KL area?

In my opinion, 5k for engine oil change is overkill. Fully synthetic can last 15 to 20k.

10k is best with out the oil filter to avoid detection by sc. 20k is too long for our weather. Also do change your oil every year even if you didn't travel 10k km

The SA at Wearnes Auto Segambut assured me that oil and filter change can be done at 12,000km OR one year, whichever one that comes first, under BSRI.

Considering the new generation cars with modern high tech engines using fully synthetic oil, I think this is reasonable, IMHO

Since using fully synthetic should be 10k or 15k...
Even semi synthetic still 10k...
Mineral oil yes 5k not more...my 3 cents....:burnout:

Besides the money, please also consider the impact on our environment before you make your decision on changing your engine oil prematurely. Just my opinion.

This is if the car does not traveled so much and the mileage is still below 10k in 1 year you still need to do the change...:rock:

Sorry to Disturb your F30 Thread :listen:In my own case for my F10 (535i) i Change on every 5k fully synthetic and i told my SA to do it as he is not doing it for free ...and i am doing this because everyday whenever i Drive, i do rempit my Car...i have no relax driving :stupid: ...and the most important thing i do this was that i have tried allowing it to Clock 10k but on two occasions when its on 5K plus to 6K my Engine light will Blink...top up Engine Oil . So i decided to continue Changing every 5K.

Lolz...No leak :top: its just that i dont know...the Engine Oil Warning always come up every 5K plus to 6K...really i think it is too much of Rempit :wink: and my SA also stated same thing :top:
