after body check-up...it came out fault code 141 "O2 sensor control range block"..someone can clarify for me about this code?but then after i cleared the fault code,i tried to diagnose again but it didnt come out anymore...any of ur guys face this kind of problem before?should i change the sensor or wat?if i need to change the sensor, which sensor i need to change since i knew there is 2 O2 sensor and from the code,i dont really know which sensor is faulty..Sifu out there, any comments?

Sometimes the error code won't reappear immediately. Every time the car is started, the engine will try to use the sensor. And there will be a debouncing period (diagnostic will also indicate that it is debouncing the data) before concluding that the sensor is faulty. Will post my error message once back at my computer. You need to take the car for a drive to get the error back.

The O2 sensor supposed to be changed but not yet.

then bro...have u experience something like RPM not stable once in a while, like up n down from 500-1000 for 3-5seconds and also engine died?

btw..i just changed the spark plug before the PROBLEM happened..
will be the plug to be the culprit to make my car engine died??

the plug i changed is Bosch platinum IR Fusion F1-4 FGR7DQI

You need to check your Idle Control Valve (ICV) most probably it's clogged or check for vacuum leak at the intake boot. That's the usual culprit.

I would usually have pulsating RPM when the car is started when the engine is warm, this happen not only in idle but also when the car is moving. But after a while (I think after the DME decided that the O2 is gone) the RPM would be steady again.

Starting from cold is okay, because the DME knows the heater would take time to heat the sensor up. Without the O2 sensor, the car would operate in open loop mode making it less efficient in figuring out the ideal air-fuel mixture.

Yours could be unrelated, but this is the symptom of a dying O2 sensor. Follow bro b33mer recommendation.

I'm not sure about the voltage level for the pre and post cat O2 sensor.

The post cat sensor is there to check and make sure the cat is working properly, in countries where emission standard is not so strict manufacturers may choose to not include the post cat sensor. Don't know if BMW put this sensor in all markets. Cheers.

changed my O2 sensor...but new fault code came out "171 Fuel power system"
sighz...1 day 1 fault code...sooner or later become empty pocket ==

Don't mind to share how much you burnt on your pocket for the o2 sensor bro ?

not sure im having a dying soon o2 sensor, but my symptoms is unstable rpm, even when moving the can feel the rpm is fluctuating up and down for starting moving about 3 second. and even without moving try to rev the car, the rpm needle is still not stable. Are u guys facing this problem also? By the way i got totally 0 fault code. I tried clean icv, change air mass, change adjuster unit still the same. DUnno what else i can do edi.

Description very similar like mine, used to be not that bad, but now the engine pulsates every time car is started. Not just in the morning. This is how it looks like now.

havent pay yet :p
coz is my fren garage...and he took the O2 Sensor for the other BMW engine for me to test first...

Bro i assume that you change both O2 sensor right? Google came up with fuel trim is lean. What it means is that either there is too much fuel or too little air.

Vacuum leaks

Good luck and do update us on your findings

bro beemer,
I only changed the O2 sensor that after cat...after changed this fault code was gone and came out with the "171 fuel power system"..my fren which is my mech told me that...dun think much..change the fuel pump first...and see wat will happen later lol...he said fuel pump need to change no matter is this problem or nt bcoz my car already 10years plus so need to change also and somemore this time this code related to fuel power...so just change lor...no choice...i would like to check the vacuum leaks..but i not sure where to check lol...can some sifu show me where to check on a M43 engine?
thanks :)
