Guys, My nightmare starts. My F10, Dec 2012, mileage 45K Kms. 2 weeks back, suddenly A/C stopped cooling function. It was NOT gradual (usually linked to gas issue), it just stopped 100%. Prior to that, I set gear to R to reverse, suddenly car Jerked, A/C stopped being cool, forever. BSRI expire in Dec 2015. Booked for a check this week to Quill. Before i went in, took the car to a BMW Specialist in Taman Esplanad just to check Gas & Fuse. Gas was full, Fuse was functional. The boss said he wont touch the car, asked me to send back and question BMW why a low millage car at 3.5 years can have a faulty compressor? I sent my car in to Quill PJ. Got the shock today. Not only full compressor change, they also slapped me with Condenser change, as its BMW recommendation that when compressor is changed, condenser is replaced to assure the new compressor doesn't mal-perform due to old condenser. Total Damage - 13K. I have written as per advice in this forum to BMW Voice and CC BMW Germany 'bmwvoice@bmw.com.my'; 'customer.service@bmw.com'. I don't know how long this is going to drag, but this is complete BS. If a BMW A/C system has worse of reliability then Proton, why would people even consider a BMW? Seriously, we have 3 F10's in my extended family, 2x 2011 6 cylinders, both milleage about 150-160K and mine at 45K, 2012. The experience has been miserable, quality horrible. The other 2 had their 5 years x 100K BSRI expire in 3 years and since then spent close to 50-60K on repairs alone. These are well maintained cars. Mine is 45KKMS, always services ahead of schedule, at times paying from my pocket as i did not trust BMW schedules and yet, i am in this shitty dilemma. Any guidance? Gokula
