the back side of this car looks like ........ some cars la can recall suddenly
what u all think

There is a good writeup by WongKN from TOVA on it... Couldnt agree with him more...

Manual option and at least 180hp would have made it exciting..

TOVA New Civic

The front of the car looks nice..but somehow i just don't like the rear look. Too bad manual isn't going to be available here..can't really enjoy it.

Front looks good. But the rear looks as though it was just lifted off from the latest Integra. :p Wonder what the selling price will be when it hits our shores. Probably in the RM110k region :dunno: ...

Info from honda salesman:> 1.8L = around 118k, 2.0L = 130k.
feedback from them after came back from training & testing,
the car is superb. almost decide to book but eventually settle for udm.
goin 2 get my car next week. :yahoo:

Definately cannot agree with the rear. What's with Honda these days and their ugly behinds. A deal breaker for me.

Yup. 2-3 months in Sg already. Should be launching pretty soon in Msia.2-3 weeks' time? Dunno whether they are bringing in the Si version though. Lots of electronics whistles and bells. :p

Guess the new 3-series is not the only one with the ugly rear....the japos have joined in...

This seems different to the Euro version?
Ya, same platform, different Civics for different market..

From TOVA:

First and most important is to address the numerous different rumours about Asia getting sedans, coupes or the 5door hatch. To settle things once and for all, the Civic will only be launched in sedan form here in Asia. For any doubters who might still think otherwise, I point them to the 2005 Mid-Year CEO Speech Summary by the Honda President and CEO Mr Takeo Fukui which Honda released in their official 'Worldwide' website (the link to the full speech is available at the end of this article). That speech contains specific reference to the (at that time) soon to be launched 'New Civic', the most relevant portion which I extracted below.

The all-new Civic was developed with four body types to meet the unique requirements of each region. For the Japanese market, an emotional and stylish sedan which goes beyond the concept of the traditional Civic was developed. For the U.S. market, 2-door and 4-door types were developed, while a 4-door was also developed for Asia and 3-door and 5-door types were developed exclusively for Europe.

huh..??? :) we have something in common...

For certain they won't bring in the manual lah. Some more CKD model. Even performance-oriented Ford doesn't have the courage to bring in CBU manual 2.0 Focus Hatch. Well, the Swift Sport it has to be then, come June or thereafter....
