[QUOTE="bmw4eva, post: 317502, member: 14423"] Almost all of us can agree that new BMWs are not very reliable. Though older BMWs are not exactly bulletproof, they suffer far less problems than new ones.I wonder what happened to BMWs old ways of building cars. It seems like a problem suffered by all manufacturers, the newer the models, the less reliable they are. Japanese cars are not immune to this problem, either. I know a friend who has a 2005 Nissan Serena which she bought brand new.Since her three years of ownership, she's had to replace one of the coil packs, alternator, aircon compressor, driver's side central locking motor, and two batteries, while we see several old Nissan Sunny's running around without so much as burning a light bulb. However, I do agree that new BMWs suffer from one breakdown too many.My suggestion to BMW is; less technology, more reliability, please.I don't mind not having i-Drive,trick aluminium suspension bits,etc.etc. so long as it can go at least four years without breaking down.
