The same applies for the E60 535d, it's using a 3.0 liter diesel engine with sequential bi-turbo.

My 325 is actually 3.0 also, same like the 330 (difference in intake manifold and software). The e63/64/65/66 i.e. 650i and 750i is actually 4.8.
I think MB is worst, the C230 was 1.8 but US one is now 2.5. The C240 was 2.6 and the C280 is actually a 3.0l :lol:
But seriously, I think because of the turbo is supposed to give you the power of a 3.5 but with a 3.0 capacity. Somehow BMW couldn't agree with officially calling the car "330i Twin-Turbo" ... sounds too fast and furious :lol:

Hmm E92 nice....styling and engine performance should send the other car manufacturing rivals scrambling to the drawing board.

Just wanna share my enthusiasm on the latest 335i.. Read it in the latest Autocar mag yesterday... And I reckon that it really rocks.. They did a comparo with the current M3 and the performance figures are almost identical.. Wow!! It even beat the M3 with its torque.. I guess the turbo really gave it a massive push in power.. Dont know about the handling though.. Must be good enuff to handle the power hike.. I wonder how the new M3 will be like? U guys reckon it will be eating 911s for breakfast?

true it has a higher torque, so it could be good enuff to stay with an e46 m3!! but to be honest, i was disappointed as i was expecting the power to be crazy.. with a 3ltr base engine and a twin turbo, i was hoping that it wud be pushing at least 380-400bhp?

turbo rocks!!!!
i hope BMW continues this trend..don't want to be left behind in turbocharging technology.if things look good in this department,there might be hope yet for BMW,in my eyes at least..
305bhp from a 3.0 ain't that great though..still a long way to go.
i'll be having 340bhp from my 2.0 by the end of the week,simple mods only..
