The DVD player was installed at the wood panel below the original CD & MD player. Most Japan spec E60 has only DTC switch there which is basically useless in malaysia. I thought of installing the DVD player there before but felt "sayang" to see my aluminum cube trim to be cut. In the end I opted to be installed in the glove compartment. Added additional sensor so that the RC could detect my DVD player. Maybe it's just me but if you are OK with them cutting a hole in your trim & to accommodate the DVD player..
