Need Help on E46 325 m sports 04

Hi there guys...In the midst of buying a 325 m sports 04 local model...actually, paid 1k for the deposit..Checked the VIN... found out that the manufacturing date was on the September 2003...but in the registration card it says on 29th June 2004..Can anybody enlighten me please?Is it a con?..

The calender start date of a manufacturing year for BMW is sept onwards. So even tho it's manufactured in in Sept 03 technically it's an '04 model. Plus it's a CKD so after the parts are produced in germany or south africa ... it will take some time to reach to malaysia where it is assembled.
Where did you check your VIN?

It was in the warehouse/car park lot before somebody bought it I think.

You may also check via www.realoem.com and it is an online ETK ... Also just give your VIN number to any of the bmw dealership and they'll easily whip out a spec list and details of the ride for you (chargeable unless you have friends working there )
