If chip, you may have to do the whole bonnet againt, just like you have to repaint the whole bonnet.  As for washing the car, Darren would apply a specially formulated sealant or protective layer onto the vinyl. The dirt, dust, pollutant would be washed off easily by spraying water on the car. No need shampoo, should not polish or wax. I have seen how you can wash a rim covered with brake dust by spraying water against it. The sealant works very well!</blockquote>
