Eitherway i would recommend you to NOT drive the car until your mechanic diagnose the problem. You don't want to aggravate the situation even more.As bro haywire mentioned do check for oil traces in the coolant or the milky substance on the engine oil cap. Is this the first time you've had experience of engine overheating or it has happen before? Also bear in mind BMW 4 cylinder engine is notorious for oil sludge</blockquote>
