Dear admin,I read the new limits for CG on the Classified section. Does this policy mean all existing CG classified threads have also been closed?I can't seem to reply and "bump" the wheel for sale thread I started pre-new policy. I click on "Reply to Thread" and it takes me to the "you do not have permission to access this page" message. WTS: BMW V-spoke Style 331 19" Original alloys - RM5,000 open to offersWhereas, I seem to be able to reply to the thread started by SilverBullet (who's also a CG). I click on the "Reply to Thread" button and it takes me to the "Quick Reply" text box:WTS: Original 19" VMR V710 rims and BMW 19" Style 230 rims (made by BBS)Just want to find out how the new rules apply to pre-existing Classified threads.Thanks.

The Mods/CM have already enable the reply function ... They work very fast hehehe. Salute to them!

I still can't reply to my own thread. :(

Thanks for the bump, B33mEr.

Yup, new rulings.

We can't update nor bump nor even reply on our own classified thread now.

Perhaps, CGs can come together and bump each other thread, just like I did on Silverbullet & B33mEr on yours ~ lol

Thats the loop-hole we are currently working on bro ... at the moment, the Classified Section is a no no for CG to do any direct selling . Thanks for the heads up anyway :top:

This really funny... if the CG can't post in the classified's, this posting in another section...

C
M might as well close all thread sections...will be hard to monitor all postings...

then might as well close the forum to CG's....

this is normal...coz

before the new ruling, CG is allowed access to create and reply to threads...with the new ruling, CG no longer allowed to start a thread in Classifieds section. now you are not able to reply coz the thread/owner status is in violation with the new settings thus the forum settings priority is blocking the thread owner...get others you know to bump it...

What is d point to let cg to bump each others threads?

For me, cm just need to make a simple decision which is allowed cg to use d classified or totally not allowed to do so. . .

For imposed such rules which allowed cg to bump each others thread but not for cg own threads looks silly and funny. .

Just my 2 cents. . .

most of the times I dont really just wanna bump my threads..actually would like to share info like tyre profiles, camber setups, ride height settings, etc..but now cant even do that on my own thread in the classifieds :(

You can always start a new thread in "Showroom" and move whatever posts you had in the Classifieds section to the new thread.

As a programmer, I think this sounds like a bug in the logic as it should only prevent new posts by CG, not replying to existing threads. :) A bug or they never considered this use case in their logic path.

So the Vice President, with the President's support, is saying the "Showroom" is the new Classifieds for CG? hehehehe. Just kidding!

Anyway, thanks everyone, for your comments and explanations. It's clear to me now. Much appreciated.

Hi guys,
i am having the same problem with my thread. might as well close it for me if i cant bump my own thread. this is dissapointing. i have been with this forum since i 2006 and now because of some bad apples i cant even bump my own thread? i have to pay 300 bucks to be allowed to bump my own thread?
what if we could come up with some other arrangement for this? i am unable to be a club member for my own reasons (busy with work etc) so probably a small fee for full access to forum instead? i do not need the goodie bag and discounts on parts etc as i dont think any of the vendors stock anything for an E21 anyways..
just a suggestion. just a bit frustrated thats all, hope its not taken the wrong way. the steps taken by the sifus to protect and make sure no more con jobs occur is very commendable and shows great responsibility as other forums dont show much concern as here.
just hope there is another way to go about this. it has been a really fun forum since i joined 6 years ago but it seems to be more and more restricted and i havent done anything wrong to anyone..
