The CAS (Car Access System), the ignition control module and the FOB has to work together to answer a series of dynamic questions to unlock each other.Every CAS can only support 6 FOB, we get 2 when buying the car and when lost FOBs, the other balances will be used up when SC replaces your FOB. And once the 6 FOBs are used up, need to replace CAS module.You may ask, can we get CAS module from outside? Yes, but must be authorised BMW parts reseller and I believe BMW AG is aware of the issuing of these CAS and key sets.That's why when they need your car, they die die must take your FOB as well.
