Then, when I did my further studies in the UK, my eyes popped out from their sockets - fcuking heck, we've been royally ripped off! £50,000 buys a DAMN decent ride. £50,000 here in Singapore just about covers that blasted piece of paper that accords me the right to the pleasure of spending my own money to buy a car to run on the blasted Singaporean roads. Then again, we make do with the lot in life that we're dealt with - I can't just complain about the expenses here, yet be content to reap in the benefits of a (relatively) safe environment, an efficient government and a country with good $$$ reserves to help cosset us from the coming economic storm.
