Congratulations on your acquisition, bro! Guess we both share the same dream and the same year to celebrate. Only got mine just end of last year and, yes, I'm sharing the very problems you're having to deal with: Rear-view Mirror Did you use Pos Laju to get your mirror to and back from the US? I'm not too keen on them as they have once lost an entire package of mine from the US and I'm fearful of letting them have another go at losing an original component of my baby. Has anyone experienced the liquid leaking out from the mirror? I didn't know that would be a problem until I read the posting in here. Even more worried as my aluminum trim would certainly be ruined if it did. Foul Smelling Air-Conditioning Have you tried changing the charcoal filters at the intakes? I suspect it may just be fungus growing on the evaporator as mine seems to grow stronger when I just use the AC for short bursts of cool air for several consequtive days but don't give it enough time after to dry the condensation on its evaporator. There is a thread in the M5 board that details a step by step on how one owner used some AC cleaning spray to fix this problem. Bad news: you either have to rip the dashboard apart to get at the evaporator or you have to drill a hole into the AC housing at the side to spray at the evaporator .... Not very appealing options. I'm happy to hear that you're doing all you can to get rid of those side air vents. Certainly, if your car could speak, she would be thanking you for saving her from further embarrassment ;) I suppose you're also going to rip off that "tail wing" above your rear window?
