My wife's car is a standard E60 520 model (no modifications at all and no low profile tyre). Some friends told her to get Michelin PS3 to replace the old noisy Yokohama s drive. Before this it came with Michelin PP2 which was probably the worst bumpy and rough noisy tyres ever. Driving over 100kph over uneven joined patch up roads was dangerous. But managed to sell back to the dealer at a loss after a week and took the S drive. What do you sifus think? Are there nicer alternatives?

I've used S-Drive and PP2 on my Accord previously. To be honest, the Yokohama S-Drive indeed gives a better grip but they are slightly noisier too. What's the size of your tyre? If you're on 18"/19" and above, the type of tyres available would be limited to only certain models.

I am not a sifu. I also had pp 2 michelin japan before. They were overrated and their very stiff sidewalls does not suit poor roads. I driven a car with with falken 115 and continental sport 2. Both are superior to pp 2. Falken noisier than conti. Since you said you used standard size, why not look at the new but expensive goodyear assymetric 2 ? But if budget. can consider falken 452, not bad tyres really. Michellin last longer but do not grip as well for the price. well this is my 2 sens worth

don't!

Michelin PS 3 will disappoint you if you like the S-Drive and want something better.

I RECOMMEND YOU TO TAKE GOODYEAR ASYMMETRIC 2.

I think most drivers who had Michelin presume it is good. It is! Until you try AutoExpress or AutoBuild top tyres recommendations and learn that they used to be good!

I've never tried asymmetric but eagle F1 is one of the worst I've used before :)

F1 Assymetric is totally different from Eagle F1 GSD3... much better .. one of the top rated tyres
