U want new style or old style, leather, wood, plastic or metal (chrome/titanium/combi with leather), bmw logo or gear shift pattern, M-Tec, Hartge, Alpina or other aftermarket - Momo.

Ori - probably can get from auto parts shops in KL

MTec, Alpina etc - check out Ebay.

Here's mine with the Hartge one on:

It may not look right but in terms of ergonomics/comfort, the newer style is better.

You could get existing one wrapped in leather if its not too bad.

Actually, if the gear shift knob is too perfect, it might make the rest of the car look older. I guess it depends on the condition of the gaiter and the console panel as well.

FOC,

What problems ar you facing with your current gearknob?

1) Fitment problem? Is it too smal or too big? Size does matter.....
2) Operational issues? Has it been abused for too long?
3) Stubborn? Ego problems? Insecurity issues?

Do be more specific on the details on the new 'manual gear knob' that you seek........age?, height?.....etc.....

con't

-something to give you more "feel" when you grab it.....

-newknob to give more excitement?

hhmm current knob too small? over used? skin torn?

there are a number of OEM knobs available or you can get the ori. However the E28 parts are hard to find so I doubt AB sells em. Try First Division near Jalan Ipoh. You might be in luck FOC. They also have aftermarket knobs.

While you are changing the gear knob, consider changing the gaiter too, if its not already leather.
