Got yr pm but thought i would write for all to see. Yes the restriction for tax thing is a bummer, but with the 320 manifold you get a lot more torque. I know of one guy who put on a 320 manifold to his 325 and says its a good mod to do. U loose out right bhp but gain midrange. It's all about compromises. Since yours is an auto, i suggest u stick to stock. It's a good mod but you have to try out a car that has done this before u decide what to do. In a drag race, i will probably loose out till my car hits 4000 revs. i took a stock 328 out the other day and was blown away at how much better it pulls below 4000 revs. But having said that after 4000 revs it really kicks. And when u r really gunning it, have u noticed after a shift it drops to 4000k and pulls from there? It really only comes into itself when you're hammering it. Why does it work? At high revs the 320 manifold can't supply enough air. But to make it worth your while, you will need to get a proper air filter and ideally pair that with some US m3 cams. Then u might also want to look at dropping your cat and getting a remap. But once you've done all this you should also do yr brakes and suspension. Not to metion u need good tires too. In the end you just might have well spent enough to buy an M3.. which is what i should have done if only somebody told me before i started.
