I did serviced the UDM at Sapura on the 10k mark for free. Its a 325i 2008 model. Recently after returning back from a trip North I feel that there is a slight decrease in performance of my car. It becomes laggy and the response is late. Furthermore at times the engines becomes jerky. So I say to myself how did the engineers in BMW programmed the computer or OBC and say that servicing is only at 25k mark. Mine showed another 9000km to go. I cant wait that long. So I decided to change the oil n filter to a mechanic friend away from the authorised workshop since I have to pay everything myself. Here are the details: 1. Engine oil Shell Helix Ultra Fully Syntetic 5W-40 RM190.00 X 2 cans=RM380.00 2. Original oil filter odered from KL sent by bus to Seremban mechanic RM55.00 3. Upah or Labour charge RM25.00Total bill: RM460.00The result is simply amazing. The response is superb and there is no more jerking. I wonder if I would have wait until the OBC showed that I need to send the car to servicing would that be too late and would it damage my car? Anyhow I just cant take that risk. I would like other brothers to share their experience here just for the sake of knowledge. I may miss out on the things I don't know.Cheers,Maanly.
After 6 month my tripmeter shows 21,128.00 readings.
