Although this may be good for Malaysian Motorsports (and Bernie) in terms of patriotic Malaysians making a beeline to watch and cheer our team in the F1 GP series, I dont agree as this is a sheer waste of MY MONEY. How can this be announced without first getting approval from cabinet and the rakyat's money is being used here. It doesnt matter that other corporate boys will also (be seen to) be financing this project, taxpayers (the rakyat's) money is being used or wasted in this case. All in the name and spirit of 1Malaysia, lets see if we really have a multi ethnic Malaysian Racing Team...those we call 'others' included. In fact we had our first truly Malaysian Team in the Petronas TVK Motorsports Racing Team, owned and run by the late Tong Veng Kit and raced by Shahrul Yuzy in the then Motor GP. Then we also had our very own Flying Sikh, Karamjit backed by Pert and he was the first Asian driver to win FIA's World Championship in Production car and on his first attempt too. Those were truly 1Malaysia teams and what happened to the funds needed for support....sigh
