I changed to local windscreen plus original v kool for a total sum of RM 1,800.00. No choice as the sum insured for my windscreen is only RM 1,800. But I honest feel nor see any difference from the original. But my windscreen crack was sad. I was driving along at 80 km/h and I suddenly saw a 6 inch crack. There was no sound or impact at all and when my maid washed the car in the morning, there was no crack. It seems that even if the is a small chip from a stone which you cannot see, after sometime, it will suddenly develop into a crack. This happens when the impact is at the edge of the windscreen. If I saw it earlier before it became a crack I would have repaired it as keeping the original windscreen is still preferred.
