Leather seats

Hello everyone, wan to know how are leathers seats in Malaysian weather? I know they are freaking hot when they are left in the parking bay under the sun for a while. But are they hot when driving? especially long distance? i am considering of getting leather seats for my car.

i dont think it might be much of a problem, i had leather seats in my old car, yes they a a little hot when the sun is shining at 12 in the afternoon..but once u get in and the aircon is on...it feels like clots seats..

cheap leather will burn your skin and feel hot after car left in the sun..

Good quality leather will not.

you slide around a bit more, yes it can get hot (get v kool or something, it helps), light coloured leather is a bit problematic to maintain especially if you have kids, good quality leather will always look better IMHO, have been using cloth/fabric for most of my life, recently moved to leather... havent noticed much in terms of drawbacks... I mean in Malaysia when a car gets hot, it gets hot ...PERIOD!

OH....cool the respond was not as what i had expected...but thats good news. I was quoted about RM3k to have the seats redone to leather. It is some italian soft leather or something like that. Surely will go with black leathers so dun have to worry too much about staining the seats and surely have to get a good set of tinting done. Thinking of installing a remote started for my car so can cool down a lil b4 i go into the car.

Does cheap leather mean PVC??

Had a Waja done at Newto* Leather .. Nice .. but ended up with the company's logo embossed on each and every corner of the seats ... Now free advertisement for them ... :thefinger:

get nappa leather from italy. high end cars all use this leather. soft as u're first gf behind

BTW , Newto* also charged RM200 to rewrap ur steering if u buy the leather seats from them. Else RM 250.

Lol.....have to check the price out and see...Have to find good installers also....hate those ppl which i send to and end up having extra screws on my floor mat. But the RM3k does not sound too painful for Italian leather.
