Forgot to share one "problem" I faced when using the E90 for the first time last night. Outside my house there's this traffic light junction at the bottom of a descending road. Been using JDM auto for so many years, got used to engage "N" on red light with handbrake on when car is stationary. When it turns green, I will release handbrake, let go foot brake allowing the car to roll down. If it turns red again, I just brake and handbrake. If it turns green again and traffic is cleared, I'll do a rolling engage of "D" to move on. Last night, I was stuck! E90 rolling on "N", tried to engage "D", refuse to get in despite me depressing the shift lock knob on the gear lever. Got panic for a while, car behind start to horn! Another cultural shock that I need to get familiarised to.. "No rolling engage of "D"!" says the manual.. :D Is that true? What if I accidentally engage "N" on highway, then I have to roll to a complete stop, then only can engage "N" once more? Open the glove compartment, there's a micro switch on the top, left hand corner with picture of car boot like the one shown on our remote control device. Push the switch towards the picture with boot down and it will disengage the boot opener from the remote control system. So the remote will not open the boot. I read from the manual ah, my car got or not, I don't know.. :D The manual has so many features our car don't have one.. :D
