Message: <blockquote data-quote="E46Fanatic" data-source="post: 249428" data-attributes="member: 81">There are minor differences in 05,06,07 and 08 spec E90's.  One difference is Simon's 08 E90 no longer comes with 3 keys unlike mine.  Also no wallet key holder in the glove box to re-attach and place into the ignition.  Did your car come with 2 or 3 keys? I believe that the ignition key hole has electrical contacts so that the right key will start the car, and data is downloaded like your mileage to your key each time.  I think its also re-charging the key as you plug it into the ignition hole. For keyless entry, the 335i spec we get here has it. BMW comfort access. MeinAuto demo'ed this to us in our meetup sometime back.    To lock the car, just step out of the car and touch the door handle or something.  Really neat.</blockquote>
