Keyless entry

my advanture on keyless entry for e30 here

Oooohhh... I thought u meant the proximity keyless entry system. Confused. :blink:

If I'm not mistaken the term "keyless" came about after Merc launch their latest model with the proximity keyless system. No need key one. I think its call "keyless go" or something like that. But, then onwards, other made local sales pitch start to use the term instead of the usual central locking. Am I right?

Guess it is the same thing but different words... more "class" mah.... Just like - flat, apartment, condo...

1) unlock the door without using the key ???
2) start the engine without using the key ???

maybe he is talking about wifi or bluethoot technology?

hmmmm... so confused huhh ?? no need to confused one.. its just a feature added to all modern car has now.. i tot u understand the word "keyless" , mean no key. it use fob as a rf key. aiyah.. those remote thingy use to lock-unlock ur car lar...

the get proximity keyless like in masedi u can use bluetooth or rfid. bluetooth i can program lar but rfid never done it as i no longer work in that field anymore.. basically u still need to carry a card wic contain info like chip id etc... once ur in the proximity, the car detect u n unlock or start or do wutever u program it to do..

the keyless i add is the rollingcode type, cobra alarm originally installed in e36. now has new home in my rusty e30. keyless meant u dun hv to put ur carkey in the hole to open ur door. very good when rain or in dark parking lot or dark nite... nothing special but its foc fo those interested in diying...

Alamak, i oso tot same like Masedi type wor.... read read, then doink it hit my head la.... :blink:

Keyless as in no need to cucuk the key, turn to unlock the car.... can press button, beep, then car unlocks. Press again, beep x2, car locks... tada...

Masedi type are keyless based on proximity, like touch n go type la... but they added self start, a/c control.... u can do oso, but need more modules and software to control la...

So "keyless entry" means "masuk tanpa guna kunci", but use job, remote, etc.... applies even to Protons and Peroduas, not just Masedi lo.... :lol: :lol: They just hv better marketing team....

about ur system mean when u reached ur car then it will automatically unlock the central locking ????

its a very good job !!!
but whatever i'm saying issit right or not ???

mercedes using frequency on the keyless go..
and it have 5 or 6 attenna on the body le.... new model they don't provide keyless go chip card because the keyless go is in the key already....

when u touch the door handle then the door unlock... if the key is in the car and the central locking will not works even the trunk lid cannot be close... for safety purpose .... whoah... beh tahan... luxurios nya !
