Guys,Your views on Japanese tyres and Euro tyres?..I prefer Japanese...but thats just me...views please :D

European esp Michelins :yahoo:

But that is just my opinion too. :yahoo:

Value for money go with Michelins. They may cost a bit more but last a lot longer than falkens, especially Azenis!

me lo

N5000

used for 5k KM....then changed to azenis

queit tyre...but performance so so

come on people...all u guys out there..share ur views on this..cheers :D

For me is ok with both as long as it is value for money, and it give the performance that we expect. I heard euro type and more lasting compare japs coz the tyre is design with their car in mind, JDM is lighter compare to Cotinental....may be some bro here can share.

actualli veri much depend on the driver n how u trash ur ride

if u just for normal cruise n street driving

enuff la

if u really trash ur ride ... then diff. thing

but hor...do u all know

when u hit emergency BRAKE..... tire does matter!!

it will save ur wallet alot by avoiding to hit ppl ride ass n ur UDM front too

:D

I have a customer who puts on Nexen for 2 weeks & swap to Michelin..

Depends on what one wants.. but in term of performance & quietness, Michelin Pilot Preceda is best in its class...

Michelin Pilot Sport 2 is a bit noisier than the Precedas but very very good in performance... That is the feedback I got from a few guys, who compare it with Bridgestone SO3 & Pirellis... :D

every tyre got its strengths and weaknesses, pick one that suits for your car and driving.

i like the CSC2..

For those who are looking for performance plus value for money, try Hankook. Other than that go with the Preceda, I have been using this for awhile, phenomenal grip on the dry with extremely good wear rate. For 225/45/17 its less than RM 500 (around 450 to 470) a piece. Yeah its made in Sawadee Land but I am sure Michelin have stringent QC control and so far my experience with it has been pleasant. :)

no la ...Azenis is a very good tyre, just slightly below GSD3 in terms of performance. It becomes noisier from half thread onwards. In terms of longevity, last time my putra 15' up to 40k km. Now 17' still waiting... ;)

Leakwoon...
Pilot Preceda 235/40 R18 around RM800.. I believe got no stock. Have been out of stock for a few months. :D

i heard advan neova is good, 15" is alredy 330, 18" is 700+ last chk in klang. anyone try this before on thier udm before ?????????????

currently using azenis ST115 now(2 months old)....

dry = good grip + low noise
wet = no good at all....do not drive above 90kmh!!

Seems like euro tyres are quieter and more comfy in general and are well suited for euro tyres. Then again, many high performance euro cars also come shod with japanese rubber.

I am a fan of Bridgestones and Michelins. Sold by the influence of their sponsorship in F1.. Money well spent by them on consumer profiles like me heh.

Have tried

1. Brigdestones S02 & S03
2. Michelin Pilot Sports 2
3. Conti CSC2

My Fav is still Michelin PS2. Very quiet, good grip both dry & wet.
Jap tyres are good but they tendto be noisy once there is wear. Plus with the car weight i would recommend PS2's. I've tried all tires both on the street & in the track.
Have not tried the Hankook but heard good reviews. Will try it once my CSC2 dies on me.
