Then the M40 getrag240 started to show sign of giving way... Not sure how your E36 drive train match with the E30 chassis especially the longshaft. and that your E30 is currently running M20 engine and drivetrain, so it's a different story altogether. have fun getting all the measurements for various long shaft. The E36 Getrag250 gearbox is about 1 inch longer than the E30 Getrag 240 gearbox. i have my way to mod a little without cutting the shaft or looking for a compatible length shaft.... Solution was found from overseas forum.... u want technical info, best to ask those overseas fellas who are more hands-on with DIY repair and mods. Here mostly pay mechanics to do one.. hahaha</blockquote>
