I was at BM Autoservice today, the service attendant told me that E60 should be using 0W40, how true is it?By the way, I have inherited about 24 X 4 Ltr of fully synthetic engine oil ELF Excellium SM 10W50. Was planning to use it in my M54 E60 engine, and advice....? and experience ....or should i?cheer bro.cooperman:top:

10W50 is way too thick. You should be using xW30, preferably 5W30. Having said that, European formulations of 5W40 is also fine

If you not using the 10W50 please let me know how much you are selling them. I am keen to get some from you.

bump for geoffreylee

How much do you want to sell the ELF 10w50? I'm keen too.

If RM100, I want 2 bottles... if RM130, then one bottle will do... if more than RM130... no thank you.. :D

I think the viscosity is perfect for my Volvo NA 940.. :D

Gives excellent engine protection, particularly against wear in the timing system. Outstanding thermal stability and oxidation resistance preventing any degradation even in very severe use. Lubricates engine parts immediately during cold starts, resulting in extended engine life. Very high performance lubricant using Elf synthetic technology, intended for lubricating all gasoline and diesel car engines.
API SM/CF ACEA A3 / B3, Recommended for BMW

Saw it at my regular spare part shop.. confirm it's SM/CF.. Old price RM138, New price RM148..

.. and they have 0W40 too.. which should perform a lot better, more suitable for newer engine..

Astroboy, where's your spare part shop? Can you post/PM me the name and location? Thanks.

Well sorry was away for a while. Just got back.
Ok, i have 4 bottles, going for RM500.00. Let me know if interested.

cheers!

Ooooo... like that... very good price.. spare part shop is currently selling about RM140 lio.. Not difficult to sell la..

If I want also I would only get one bottle from u for my Volvo 940 and one bottle can last me one year because seldom use the car. My E90 prefer to stick to either 5W40 or 5W30.
