Thanks for the tip Yoke...so where will your ipod be connect? would it be in the boot since the CD changer connector is located there?

Yeap, connection is from the boot, you will lose the CD changer function (if you want to maintain your CD changer, you have to buy additional connector). Running the wire to where you want to connect the Ipod either in your dashboard or the compartment between the front seat. In my case, the Ipod is nicely hidden in the compartment between the front seat.

Hi, you can buy it from europeanautosource.com is just RM600+ plus shipping to Malaysia!
There is two version of the iPod kit, remember to choose the "radio interface" version as you dont need to run the wire all the way from the boot. If you need help for installing just let me know! :itsme:

Bro, the setting will disable CD changer function, right?

Yup, you have to disconnect the cd changer before you can use the iPod. As like me I just buy another BMW Business in dash CD player from eBay, so I can still play CD in the cabin with the iPod kit...maybe you can also find it at chop shop...its Plug and Play too...your car still look like original!

Care to share the pic?

That's reasonable. Have been searching and found nothing less than less 99 pound to bid. Anything to look up for to ensure compatibility? Mine is a 530i 03'

As for the US version of CD player like mine, the radio can only tuned into odd number in the last digit.
For example it can only get 98.1 98.3 98.5 and so on....if you wanna listen to 98.8, then you have to tuned into 98.9. For me I can still listen to 98.8 very clear when I tuned into 98.9
But no luck with 101.8 when I tuned into 101.9 :motz:
I guess the UK version should be more compatible.

Bro, I think you can change the settings so that it can select all frequencies...try this if it'll work on your system. I have created the thread not long ago, give it a try and let me know if it'll work.:

Basically try to change the 'AREA' setting from your 'USA' to 'OCEANIA'. If you can change this then it'll show all frequencies.

If your car comes w BIZ rad on it, you won't have the Sat Nav kit installed. Kit here meaning respective cables, connectors, screen, GPS module...and so on. If you happen to have the complete sat nav retrofit kit, you'll have all the necessary items in the kit for you to switch over from BIZ rad to Sat-NaV unit. Any competent well knowledgeable ICE installer would be able to P&P for you. Last but not least, i think it needs to be recoded using the GT-1.

Mind if i ask, how much did you buy the Sat-Nav Retrofit (if it is) kit?
