Was previously using BBS RX 18s, downsized to similar 17s and spent these few months feeling miserable at the way she looked. Somehow, the downgrade to 17s did not yield the kinda trade-off that I was looking for. The rims went from looking like dinner plates to more like tea saucers to make things worse ( thanks Juls for pointing that out <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite7" alt=":p" title="Stick Out Tongue :p" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":p" /> ). Thanks to my ever-faithful and reliable friends aka wanna-be Racun Kings ( Roland, Doramon and Chan KS ), I was suckered (somewhat willlingly) into taking on the BBS RX 18s that were on sale at Era Maju earlier today. The 17s and the new Falken tires were traded in with a small top up for these. Rather sheepishly ... pleased to say that I'm back where I had started with Elly. 1. A little harder riding but much better grip and traction compared to the 225/45/17 Falken FK452s that I was running before.
