I have the advantage of comparing against another car of mine. An easy knock of the knuckle against the tyre wall is enuff to convince me.</p><p></p><p>I once tried to pull the change of tyres to the 3 year mark and suffered a "slow" tyre blow-out at speed, luckily it was a FWD car and affected one rear tyre. Managed to control the car and stop at the roadside to change it.</p><p></p><p>Just last week, on my PV6, with tyres that were installed in January 2005, I suffered another puncture when I hit a stone on the Elite. Went to repair the tyre, found a small crack in the rubber. I ditched all the tyres (even though the rears had about 3/4 thread left) for 4 new Contis.... (ok OMGWTF, will heed your advice on the Conti's handling when old)</p><p></p><p>Ok, ok, it was my rear that blew, the one with the 3/4 thread left.... go figure.</p></blockquote><p></p>
