This is the track version of the Honda City called the Honda City Hyper Turbo. Only 5 units were ever made and had a weird staggered setup of 9" wide rims in front and 7" at the rear. Kinda opposite of what we would usually have on our RWD Bimmers.

These City Turbo racers would usually feature as an opening race in Suzuka with 5 lady drivers. (Yup, before the Japanese invented race queens).

Later a super rich Australian bought all 5 units of these City Hyper Turbos to be shipped to Australia. Sadly, disaster struck and all 5 cars were buried in an earthquake that hit Japan around that time just days before shipment to Australia.

I've been very very busy this month sourcing for a Honda City Hyper Turbo scale model made by Tamiya and finally found it at ebay! I had to outbid rich Australians, Europeans and Americans to win it. Needless to say I paid an insane amount of money for it! Almost maxed out my credit card.

Hey! But it's worth it!!

While you guys were watching Football I slaved over it for 3 days and 3 nights. Painting it, building it, then doing a cut and polish to the paintwork!

Yup! you might remember the nutcase driver from my earlier Wild Willy post. Well, the Honda City Hyper Turbo is based on the same chassis as the Wild Willy, inherits the same insane looking driver and pops wheelies too!

Yeah, I hear what you're saying. I need to drop the car about 5mm to reduce that ugly fender gap right? I'll work on it!

Please try to post up BMW related shots. Although we appreciate your efforts, this is a BMW related.

I hope no offence is taken. Thank You.

No offense taken but I believe I am not breaking any rules as the rules for this forum clearly states "Your Automotive-related photography. Please restrict to your own photography only. Not to be confused with Members' BMWs". Well this is my own photography and it's automotive related photography and it's not members' BMWs right? :dunno: Am I missing something here?

Well anyway, thanks for your support guys.

im 2 steps behind u...hehe

nyway: i like the ass pic. kewl huh wider slicks and sick shockers...wahts camera are u using and lens? anY lighting source? speedlight fLASH?

nah, just a simple setup. Canon 20D with 17-85IS on 50mm. Speedlite 430EX bounced at 90 degrees and some white linen here and there as reflectors. I actually used white bedsheet as the backdrop. left some tire marks too. the wife will kill me for it. :D

noice.....its good to know of ppl who appreciates the finer points in automobile history.

Maybe the moderators can elaborate further. I am just dispensing my observations.

I came across this post by chance and if there are other non-related threads like this, maybe the moderators can shed some light on this matter too?
