If the coils are shot then it will be shaking like elvis.Me and friend is trying many thing to resolve this for an E46 318i N42, did some valvetronics relearn using DIS, it is slightly better only. Next is to replace throttle body with a used/cleaned one. My M54 will slight vibration too during cold start too. Actually , I suspect it is the DME start up sequence/map which is causing the problem when part such as coil, spark plugs, MAF, O2 , etc start to age it does not work so well.</blockquote>
