Hi all,I just bought a second hand BMW523i E60 SE LCI 2007 last week. In order to ensure the safety of the car, I sent my car to a BMW specialist workshop to diagnose the car.I was told that the TCU unit is malfunction and is draining the battery from the car. Hence, I asked them to change the TCU unit. They installed a original TCU unit and proceed to program the car. After waiting for 1 hour, they told me that the programming cannot go through as the power cannot go through the CAS unit. They said this has happened before but does anyone encounter this before? Now the car cannot even start! Now they said that they will send the CAS unit to BMW for them to repair. If cannot be repaired, would need to order a new CAS unit which will take 3-4 weeks.I have not driven the car yet and now the car cannot start. Please help if you know anything. Many thanks in advance.
