Guys,Is there a layer of protection we can apply on the headlamps to prevent them from scratching and fading overtime? If so, does this protective chemical agent, prevent the lights from turning yellow too?

yes...the place is called Paint Shield in Glenmarie, they have different grades (thickness) for headlights, bumper, bonnet etc. I did headlights and foggies..RM400

i highliy recommend cars with big headlights to do this...but do it while it's still new la!

it's a thick clear plastic, no such renewal needed i think..my lights still look good after 1 yr now, no scratches, no stonechips

my rear lights got scratch, but not those deep cut ones, more like rubber marks but wash or hard rub cannot remove.

Sent it to polish at lucky at mayang told them about it...Walla!! nice and new now, They use polish but its a skill job lah.

Good luck.

With reference to initial posting, I was under the impression that the shield treatment, not only prevents headlamps from scratches but, from turning yellow too. If so, I wish to apply the same treatment to the rear lights.

Anyhow, I will call Paint Shield directly and seek their advise.

Thanks again.

The PPF can protect it. U can peel it off if one day you want to remove it, otherwise is permanently stays thr...

I put the shield for my car from one of the access. shop at Jln Raja Abdullah in Kg. Baru. They sell VentureShield PPF. You can check it out from this guy
