Before I decided to let M-Scope overhaul my gearbox I also checked around about recond gearboxes and I asked Ah Hwong what was the difference between that and a complete overhaul. The origins of a recond gearbox are unknown and the 'recond' work that was carried out is also unknown. If you are lucky you may actually get one that was properly 'recond' or if you are unlucky they will just change the parts which are needed to be changed in the 're-con' box.The reason I went with M-Scope was that they were very professional and took the time to explain everything to me. They will also open up your box first and discuss with you what needs to be changed and what can still be used. My 'change what you need to change, I don't want to deal with this problem again' resulted in slightly more parts being changed but I am extremely happy with the results. Some more got 12 month warranty. The gearshifts are soooo smooth......Anyway, hope you are able to sort out your gearbox issues.</blockquote>
