Hi,

Like u, I jus inquire about GAB shocks/springs from RSOne. Adjustable (Hi/Lo/Soft/Hard). They quoted me RM3150 + installation. Only this model is available for e46.

FYI, GAB used to be a japanese brand, apparently 'close shop'. Bought over by some bloke here and re-register in M'sia. Now making it a local product. But, for the model mentioned above is imported fr. japan... kinda strange...

Anyway, can someone advise if this is a advisable system to use? Interms of handling/durability and etc.

Cheers!
Three18.

P.S. I also enquire about Koni Yellow Shocks (Adjustable Soft/Hard)... combine with Eibach springs for RM3300 + installation. Also available, fully adjustable like GAB for RM5k plus.

three 18,

hey, can you post up pics of how the GAB units look like? i am curious about them.

sounds like a quality product.

well some people just use lowered springs on their BMW, i rather have the GAB coils than just springs.

but to ones own.

for coils or any other sort of suspension. you're looking at around a lifespan of about 40,000 kms. after than, you should be looking at a rebuild.

Springs, i guess they should last forever.....

So, price of (a) GAB and (b) KONI+Eibach isn't far off. Only that Koni's aren't adjustable to high/low. Which would u reccomend?

A, B or none of the above...

you mentioned you were quoted just under rm4k for the units. did you know you could get the Bilstein PSS for just a little more from our friends down south.

Coilovers and original susp replacements are in a different category in terms of built quality and dynamics.

For me i won't touch Eibach with a 10foot pole, why, cause i used them before and they were way below my expectations. I blame their marketing where they promise this and that.

So, i for 1 will op for the Coils.

I'm using the GAB SS Series coilovers. Fully adjustable. I bought it at the recent MAPA fair for RM2700 including installation. I dont think it is that bad. :)

Damn... looks like you got a bargain :) Now I hv to fork out another 400 bucks for me, should I chose to install it.

BTW, may I know what size rims you're using? How low (or lowest) after installling?

Thanks.

im using 18" non-staggered. front max height is around 1.5 fingers. rear is around 2 fingers.

you need to bargain with them. Talk to Daniel from RSOne. He can give better price.
