Fuel Injectors for 1984 e23 728i

Guys....Need your help on getting some jalan for new injectors for my e23... was quoted a rough estimate of RM500 per piece... Any cheaper than this?cheers!Boon Han

why not try out second hand ones....maybe you can try Ah fai from Jln Ipoh...manage to get my bushes from him...would like to know you and your car...since i'm the only one with a 728i....e23...

Guys..

Got the injectors cleaned a couple of weeks ago.. Much better performance from the car.. The car was firing only 4 injectors previously due to blockage, now with all 6 firing... It feels so much lighter... Improved the idling a bit, modified the ICV in an attempt to sort out the patchy idling... But otherwise great!!

What bushings did you change? Were they reasonably priced? What's Ah Fai's shop name in Jalan Ipoh?

Bomin auto........after the masjid. i got all the bottom bushings for the front suspension....very cheap compared to all other shops.... same goes for the entire clutch replacement kit....Sach....cheaper by rm100....plus delivery ...compared it for my e34, oso cheaper.....

I know where Bomin is, thanks. So I presume your car is a manual then, so how much was the clutch kit anyway?

Thats quite reasoable as LUK is also around that price and I don't think its up to par.

What's the flowrate of the e23 728 injectors? If I remember correctly the quoted flowrate was based on 3.0 bar of pressure. I believed the M50B25 injectors would provide better atomisation as some forumers with the M40 engines have experienced.

No idea abt the flowrate, pressure is around 3 bar, but not too sure of the usage of other injectors...

Haha...injectors for donation?? Get a set from the chop shops! Well, I have seen the older injectors from the M20 and M40, (probably the M30 is similar in design but with a higher flowrate) and must say the M50 ones are better. Those who installed M50 injectors into their M20B20 and M40B18 were happy with the results. Gonna do the same thang in my e30 soon
