Well, the tip to reducing fuel consumption from my experience is accelerate lightly (don't floor it) and do not accelerate and brake suddenly. This wastes fuel. Also try to let the transmission get to the highest gear as fast as possible. Try to use highways. Cars save fuel when they are cruising on highways. Use the cruise control to maintain a constant speed when possible (do not use during rainy seasons as it may cause aquaplane - rise up onto a thin film of water between the tires and road so that there is no more contact with the road causing you to lose control). Try to maintain the Energy/Economy meter at about 22km/l.
