The punchiness of the 320d is above and beyond any of the petrol cars including the 325i. The difference is quite clear since I literally drove them back to back. After driving the 323i I couldn't believe how hard core (IMO) the suspension was on the 320d M-Sport, the 323i was quite comfortable by most standards. However I hated the skinny steering wheel.After driving the 325i I marvelled at how much torque 380Nm is by comparison. Accelerating uphill on Karak was a breeze that the 325i simply couldn't match despite the lovely sound of the inline-6.I'm not bothered by the clatter because it's only there at idle. Anything above idle and I can't really tell it's a diesel aside from the fact that it goes faster with so little drama and noise.</blockquote>
