The special tool also will confirm whether the inlet and exhaust cams are in the right position after the vanos seal have been replaced. In the event of the cam not in the correct position, part of the tool also allow the adjustment of the cam.I just paid RM265 for a 3 hours job in replacing the double vanos seal. Well worth the money considering that the mechanic have to remove many things just for seal replacement.btw, mechanic say easier to work with E39 cos got more space.</blockquote>
